Below is a list of the oral surgery procedures we are able to provide for our patients. If you have questions about any of our treatment options, please give our staff a call to schedule an appointment so we review your specific treatment options in more detail.
Dental Implants
Dental implants provide a strong foundation for fixed or removable replacement teeth. Small anchors made of a biocompatible metal called titanium are seated in the jawbone to replace missing single or multiple tooth roots in the mouth.
Wisdom Tooth Removal (3rd Molars)
Our experienced team can comfortably remove a wisdom tooth that is deemed problematic to avoid oral complications such as crowding, pain, or infection.
Full Mouth Reconstruction
Full Mouth Reconstruction is a multi-step process involving many different types of cosmetic dentistry procedures to improve both the health and the appearance of your smile.
Bone Grafting
Used to replace or rebuild bone tissue around teeth, bone grafting can provide patients with missing or damaged bone effective support for dental implants or prostheses.
Extractions
If a tooth is broken or has significant decay and restorative dentistry has not been successful, removing the tooth may be recommended to prevent infection and achieve or maintain oral health.
Snoring Therapy
Snoring is caused by a narrowing or blocking of the airway. The disruption of airflow causes the soft palate and tissues of the throat to vibrate. The narrower the airway becomes, the louder the snoring.
Impacted Tooth & Tooth Exposure
An impacted tooth is a tooth that fails to fully pass through the gums. Impacted wisdom and cuspid (or canine) teeth are fairly common. For impacted wisdom teeth, the most common procedure is extraction.
For impacted canine teeth, we offer a canine exposure procedure that will allow canine teeth that have not yet erupted to come in so that patients can move forward with their orthodontic treatment. We partner with local orthodontist to coordinate this procedure with rest of the treatment plan.
Oral Pathology
Oral pathology encompasses oral disease, its causes, and its effects. Oral diseases have a number of causes, including biological, chemical, or physical agents or hormonal or developmental changes.
The smooth, pink skin lining the mouth is called mucosa. Abnormalities in the color or texture of this skin can sometimes indicate pathology. Any concerns with the skin in the mouth, a sore that is not healing properly or a lump on the inside of the cheeks, palate, gums or lips, may merit a biopsy so that the tissue sample can be tested for oral cancer. Please do not ignore these warning signs and be sure to mention any concerns you may have during your visit.
Facial Trauma
Facial trauma involves injuries to the bone, teeth, skin, gums, or other soft tissues.
Depending on the type of facial trauma sustained, there are many different treatment options available. The primary goals of treatment are to stop any bleeding from occurring, create a clear airway, repair any broken or fractured bone, and or suture any damaged soft tissue. Treatment is immediate, as long as there are no neck fractures or life-threatening injuries.
