Dr. Kent Starr was my dentist since 1981. Now Dr. Taylor Starr is taking care of all my dental needs. His dad taught him well. He’s very thorough with the exams and when necessary explains what additional treatment I may need. The staff at Starr Dentistry is very positive and update. They do a great job in reminding me about upcoming appointments. Kelly, my dental hygienist for several years, is very good too. I highly recommend Dr. Taylor and his brother Dr. Martin and Kelly.
I am very pleased with my new to me dental practice. Starr Dental is very well organized. The hygienist,Jenny is thorough and friendly. Ive known Martin for a long time at First Baptist Church and he is a good friend and coteacher there in the children’s area. This seems like a good fit for me.
As someone with severe dental anxiety, I don’t usually feel passionate about my experiences at the dentist – but I have never had a better dental experience than Starr! They are so kind and gentle, and somehow made a root canal a pain-free and low stress experience. I wish I could give 10 stars! Highly recommend!
My husband and I had appointments at the same time (normally its 1 right after the next so we can sit with our toddler) the staff made it super comfortable to keep our appointment time and ensure our girl would be fine. She sat in my lap while I had my teeth cleaned! Thankfully she behaved well but the staff was so reassuring that it would be just fine!
I went in for an initial evaluation because I was having some wisdom tooth pain. The staff were friendly and they were happy to answer all my questions about insurance, referrals, etc. I really liked how Dr. Starr explained all my options to me and gave his professional opinion while still allowing me to drive the decision making process. I will continue to update this review with my experience as I have future appointments.
We love this dentist so much we drive 2 hours one-way for our appointments!! We used to live in Waco and found this was our go-to place for our entire family’s dental needs. My husband hates the dentist, but he will keep his appointments here and refuses to go to any new dentist after we moved. Honest and quality care is not always a given in the dental world, and we have always been satisfied with the service here. Our kids started coming here at age 3 for dental cleanings and they love the treasure box and prizes they get at the end (especially after 4 visits with no cavities!). I think we’ve seen every hygienist now, and they are all great! Dr. Taylor Starr is our dentist whom we love and done many fillings, etc., but his brother is also excellent! Receptionists are friendly and accommodating. We just have no negative thoughts for this practice. Thanks Starr Dentistry!!

I’m rather new to Waco and yesterday was my second visit, my regular 6 month prophy and exam. My hygienist Alison was awesome. She completed a thorough and skillful cleaning and perio screening, all while being able to converse with me. She wasprofessional,personable, and very gentle. All qualities necessary for a good hygienist. I was very pleased with my visit with Alison. At the end of the visit Dr Starr came in and did my exam. His visit was rather quick but I felt like it was thorough. I believe I have found my dental home.
Love this practice that I have been going to since I was a young children 20 years ago. I now like in Temple and continue to make this drive for me and my family because they are amazing and I trust them with my care.
